ELO Forum Vancouver 2024 Primer: What To Expect?

The ELO Forum Vancouver 2024 will take place in just 48 hours on November 13--here is your primer on the 10 things to look forward to at the year's event! There is still time to buy your ticket (see link below)—you won't want to miss attending this year!

  1. Venue – the Forum will be held at The Paradox Hotel, a prestigious 5-star facility in Vancouver’s downtown core. The Vancouver location is part of a chain of hotels owned and managed by one of ELO’s key supporters. The Paradox Hotel is also a Gold Sponsor of the Forum.
  2. Speakers – the speakers comprise an outstanding roster from London, UK, Silicon Valley, CA, USA, and Houston, TX, USA. Speakers will cover topics from social impact investing, building a high-performance culture, running a family business, to Artificial Intelligence and faith.
  3. Sponsors – the ELO Forums are the most widely supported events for Christian leaders in Canada each year, with approximately 50 Gold, Silver & Bronze sponsors. There are also a core of National Sponsors who support all three Forums in Winnipeg, Vancouver and Toronto.
  4. Leaders – the room is full of present and future leaders. Leaders show up. There is the “leadership of presence.” People who make a difference build relationships and the best accelerant to difference making is to be in the room.
  5. Connecting – every survey of every Forum going back to 2005 indicates that a key objective of attendees is to connect with others. ELO Forums facilitate interaction by a networking at the start of the event (9-10 a.m.), then during the event (from 3 – 3:30) and then the reception at the conclusion of the event (5:30-7:00 p.m.)
  6. Interactive – our events are “Forums,” and designed for interaction. Every session is either entirely or partly a Q & A, so all attendees have an opportunity to pose questions to presenters. The attendees aren’t passive observers of the experience, but they help create it.
  7. Table Talk – in order to facilitate in-depth review of speaker content and “stickability” of take-aways we will have two opportunities for table discussion. This allows attendees to interact with others at their table and to get diverse perspectives on some key topics.
  8. Entrepreneurial Leaders Award – ELO formally recognizes Christian leaders who have made a noteworthy impact locally and around the world. Past recipients have included John C. Maxwell, international leadership expert, and Mark Burnett, leading Hollywood producer. This year in Vancouver we will be presenting the Entrepreneurial Leaders Award to Dr. Kim Tan, London, UK.
  9. Workshop – as a value add to the Forum there will be a workshop the next morning (Thursday) from 8 – 9:30 a.m. on “Building a Great Team for Values & Faith-Based Organizations” and will be led by Jennifer Paulson and Bryson Isom, Vanderbloemen Search Group. Attendees will receive a copy of a workbook. (Contact Ceara Hodges, E: Ceara@ELONetwork.org for info.)
  10. Prize Draw – the end of the day will be highlighted by a prize draw. Prizes have been contributed by The Paradox Hotel, Lighthouse Coffee Roasters and The Trading Post Craft Brewery & Restaurant.

The ELO Forums conferences are exceptional opportunities in the realm of professional development and networking.
