Jaime White, Loop Resource, to Speak at Leading Canadian Christian Entrepreneur Conference

ELO is pleased to announce that Jaime White, Loop Resource, will be speaking at the ELO Forum Winnipeg on October 22 at the Fort Garry Hotel.

Jaime White is a highly-accomplished entrepreneur who founded Loop in 2017. With his background in business, Jaime has been active as the New Projects Director almost since the beginning. His continued involvement has helped Loop expand coast to coast in Canada through relationships with grocery chains. Loop remains rooted in local farms connecting with each other and with local grocery stores and has gradually grown to involve 300+ stores, 3000+ farmers, and 200+ charities.

Loop is a way to take food that can’t be sold or doesn't have a good use in the Community and instead of throwing it in the garbage, they make it available in a safe way to small family farms so they can produce more food locally. Since 2017 Loop has diverted 148 million kg of unsold food from the land fill

At Loop, they believe that making the right environmental, social, and sustainable choices should not be complicated, full of liability, or unreasonably expensive for any organization. Loop aims to offer solutions that cost less than traditional landfill disposal methods, that have net positive effects on the environment, while encouraging and supporting farms and charities in local communities.

Since that one store, the program has grown to 1,600 farms, with between one and two million kilograms of food waste being diverted from landfills every month across Western Canada.
