Jacqueline (Jackie) Dinsmore is a trailblazer in the legal field and a role model in both law and business. She started her career on Bay Street and later moved into an in-house role at one of Canada’s largest media companies. Jackie possesses an extensive legal background and is a serial entrepreneur, founding, growing, and successfully exiting several start-up ventures. She was one of the founding figures of Caravel Law in 2015, where she played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s client base, enhancing its reputation, and assembling a team of exceptionally talented legal professionals. Serving as a Co-Managing Partner at Caravel Law, she now oversees a team of over 100 lawyers, driving optimal customer success and sales operations to foster sustainable growth. In 2023, Canadian Lawyer Magazine named Jacqueline as one of Canada’s “Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers” and in 2024, Jacqueline was named “Female Trailblazer of the Year” at the Canadian Law Awards. Jacqueline has had three exits and recently started Extra Innings Ventures, a venture capital firm focusing on funding under-represented founders with life experience.

Jackie is an industry disruptor and innovator, always seeking ways to improve the status quo and help ensure the success of her peers, clients, and fellow entrepreneurs.

While overseeing the law firm’s success, she prioritized women’s success. She is dedicated to empowering women in law and their entrepreneurial pursuits, striving for the success of women-run businesses, particularly in the recent troubling economic conditions. She serves on the Board of several organizations dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs, including Opportunity International Canada, which provides microfinance, training, and support to women entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Jacqueline was a Bay Street corporate lawyer before launching FlapJackKids, a company that focuses on reversible products for women and children. She was named Top Mompreneur by Mompreneur Magazine and appeared in Forbes Magazine alongside Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama. Her company has been featured in Ok Weekly, Us Weekly, Woman's World, USA Today and The Huffington Post and her products can be found in thousands of stores worldwide.
